Scatter hula hoops throughout the playing area. These will be the safe zones.

Choose one person to be it.

Scatter the other players around the playing area. When the game begins, it will try to tag another player. If someone else is tagged, they become the new it.

The hoops are safe zones and players can not be tagged inside the safe zone. However, only one person may be in a particular safe zone at a time.

If the hoop is empty then then this zone is treated just like a normal base or safe zone where the person standing inside can not be tagged. If the hoop is already occupied by another player, then that player must leave the hoop when a new child steps into it.

Example: Carter is standing inside a hoop, when Hadley enters that same hoop. Carter must now leave the hoop and is vulnerable to being tagged. He can enter any other hoops in the playing area, forcing any players inside each hoop out. Carter can not reenter the same hoop back to back times, he must enter another hoop before he can reenter the hoop he was just forced out of.
